Job 8: Running Man and Planking Flash Mob for Charity
Job 8 is one of those jobs that has been pending for an eternity, which is pretty much since the beginning of my project. Originally, Cheryl Roett of CIR Realty in Calgary, Alberta, wanted me to entertain residents at an elderly person's residence, but when I was turned down by two different residences, I was forced to change the idea. I tried creating an epic unitard flash mob in June with a friend, but rain ruined the event.
Finally, I recorded video this weekend with my family during a trip to Ontario. If you're entertained by the video, or inspired by it, please donate to http://www.crowdrise.com/ovarianflashmob:

Job 100: Sponsorship for the Museum of Non-Visible Art?
Dear Aimee,
We have been reading the press. Great Huffington piece. Congrats.
If you find a sponsor who commits $100,000 to the museum, they will receive acknowledgement and attention the way you have, only more so. That alone could be worth it for the sponsor, but there are more benefits. The details:
MONA seeks a benefactor to launch the Museum into its second phase, which is a community of artists selling non-visible artworks through the museum. It will also continue to tour Europe and the U.S.
Besides the exhibitions, there is an educational initiative. MONA will produce workshops for all ages to teach people how to make their own non-visible works and exhibit them, igniting the imagination in all of us and spreading the message of the museum as a catalyst for the imagination.
For $100,000, the benefactor is the only one listed on the MONA website as a lead benefactor. They will also get an entire non-visible museum designed and named in their honor and namesake. They will be part of the parties in the fall and will be an honorary board member of the museum.
Let us know your thoughts!
Best,
Praxis
I think I agree to the terms I discussed with them and that I will try to find the museum a sponsor for Job 100! I believe sponsorship is the new marketing on social media.
Who should I target?* Pom? Pepsi? Summer's Eve? McDonalds? Kanye?
JAMES FRANCO?!?!?!?!?!

Job 99: Sponsored Video?
IDEA FOR JOB 99:
For $5000.00 and the bragging rights of Job 99, I will produce an epic video with your company logo (or name) shown in 100 different places.
By the way, an in-depth interview was published today in The Huffington Post about my purchase of James Franco's "Non-visible Art" and my One Hundred Jobs project. I was also featured on NPR, Paste Magazine and will be interviewed on CJAD radio on Friday evening.
Timing is everything,
Aimee

Got Freggs?
Awww, look at those fluffy schmuffy geese!
Will I market their eggs for Job 99?
FROM THE 100 JOBS INBOX:
From: ja moran
Subject: have you ever been to Arizona ? do you like birds, chickens, geese, turkeys ???
though my main job is as a sr unix engineer for wellsfargo, I also have a 20 acre poultry farm in souteastern Arizona.
birds are lots of fun. now that i am getting more eggs and have more birds I need a way to effectively market the eggs. I do have he domain freggs.com and would like to use that to somehow market the eggs I also have thought about buying eggs from people who sell eggs in he area and helping to distribute them.
JOHN
love the way you have used your talent and intelligence to have a little fun on your different jobs
before I was a systems engineer, I worked as a QC chemist at Revlon and at ARCO, the oil company.

Subject: Poultry Marketing
I have placed ads in the local newspaper from the closest town Douglas, Arizona and have had quite a few people call or stop by and get eggs. I am 30 miles from Douglas. I do offer to deliver if the customer buys 5 dozen or more, I usually wind up going to Douglas once a week for something anyway. I do have a sign next to the gate that is also lighted at night.
I see several people in the area are selling fresh eggs. Even at the Radio Shack in Willcox, Az I saw a sign for fresh eggs. What I have considered doing but I am not sure how to do this is to form a marketing cooperative similar to what the dairy farmers have for milk.
I do have a few people at the WellsFargo office ask for eggs and I'll be bringing them some next week when I come back from the farm.
since this are free-range and not in cages in an artificial temperature and light controlled environment, we get quite a few eggs in spring, but not so many on the very hot days. egg production also drops off a little in winter.
My other problem is keeping the turkeys from breaking and eating the eggs. I think the doggie door has reduced that problem. the turkeys are too big or wide that they can't get through the opening.
I'll be done with my work meetings at around 4 PM Az/PT

Hello,
I am an artist/filmmaker looking for a model for my MFA thesis film. It would consist of the model being filmed getting a tan (tanning bed or spray tan) at a salon. Unfortunately, it is an unpaid position- but the tan would of course be paid for, as well as a meal, and credit in the film.
If interested, please reply for more information.

Job 98: Hosting Video Wall at Montreal Startup Festival
Almost 2 years later, I am 2 jobs short of 100 Jobs.
Image via Beatcanvas.com
I can't believe it: I am a mere two jobs away from completing this project!* On Thursday, I was hired by Onvii Productions for Job 98 to host their video wall for the International Startup Festival and for a new web show called Techstart.tv. I will be roaming throughout the festival and interviewing venture capitalists and entrepreneurs about funding, tech startups and entrepreneurship.
*However, there are still pending Jobs that need to be completed: Job 8 - Executing a Flashmob to benefit ovarian cancer research, Job 28 - Getting 1000 Facebook Fans on my Facebook fan page, Job 89: Video Demos of television apps for Mobovivo.com, Job 90: Experiencing and documenting a day of extreme sports for Laval Tourism. I am working on completing these within the next few weeks.
Reminder: Job 99 is priced at a minimum of $5000 and Job 100 is $10 000. Maybe I'll find an investor this week? :D

Come Fly With Me
This may or may not be an exact replica of Job 97.
Late last night, at around 2:30am, I snuck to the location for the street art I created for Job 97. I chose a location high-up, with a beautiful view of the sky, to compliment the theme of the work.
I filmed myself making my creation and I will film the bride's reaction to the mural sometime next week. I also made her a pen and ink version on watercolour paper to keep. Here is my client's reaction to the photos of the original street art:
Thank you so much Aimee! The graffiti looks AWESOME! If you're still up for it, you could always bring the watercolor when you come to film my wife's reaction. I can't wait to see it in person, I'm really excited about it. She is going to LOVE it!
Thanks again so much for being willing to take this project on, on such short notice. Another part of my gift to her is a year long marriage blogging project at www.love365.com - when I make mention of the graffiti, I'll be sure to link back to you!
Cheers,
Stephen

Call for Non-Visible Works
IN JOBS FOR YOU:
The Museum of Non-Visible Art, which I recently made a $10 000 donation to via Kickstarter, is looking for new artists to create and sell other non-visible works:
I am looking for a collaborator for a new non-visible work for the museum! Please e-mail me or leave a comment below.
Aimee
The Museum of Non-Visible Art, which I recently made a $10 000 donation to via Kickstarter, is looking for new artists to create and sell other non-visible works:
Dear Non-Visible Friend and supporter,
We are very excited about all the success of MONA (The Museum of Non-Visible Art) and the amount of attention and discussion it has generated. The big news is that the project is now funded, though it will not end until August 31st. Wow! Thank you, for making it a funded project! In this update we have a new reward from us called Beat Box.
We have the summer for the museum to grow, so here is our plan, and a way to get involved if you are interested.
To begin with, we want MONA to grow and be an alternate space as well as an alternative economy for artists and the arts. We would like to include more artists into the museum by generating more rewards, which we can do for another 60 days. The artists that we accept, will share in the revenue from the sales of their work when the project ends and is funded.
However, rather than working directly with artists ourselves, we are looking for curators of MONA.
That means if you are an artist, writer or anything else and you would like to curate some of your own non-visible ideas and your friends' ideas as well, it is possible, but this is how we want you to do it, and for now, the only way to do it, to make it work for us.
MONA curators are official for 6 months at a time after their first art works are accepted. If you are becoming a curator just to show your own non-visible idea, you have to also propose at least one art work by a friend along with yours.
We are doing this because we want the museum to grow this summer, and we want it to be done in an organized and fair way.So here is the process for becoming a curator. Please read this and then ask questions if you have any.1. To be a MONA curator, you could be from any profession. You must submit two ideas for rewards in your first letter to us if you want to be considered. One of the idea has to be authored by someone other than yourself.
2. The ideas for rewards must be in the following format:
By Praxis - Sculpture - Fur Balls - A sculpture,.....
So begin with the artist's name, the medium, the title, and the reward description of your idea for an artwork, similar to the example above. You can also refer to the original kickstarter project to see reward description examples.
3. The total reward word count should not exceed 75 words per reward. Try to make it as brief and as poetic as possible. Over 75 words will be asked to rewrite.
4.The price of the art will be between twenty-six and fifty dollars and we will determine it.The edition size of all artworks will always be twenty-five. We will split the profits with you after deducting 12 percent for financial fees and shipping and handling of the authentication and card which we will make and ship. All proceeds to artists will be paid when the project in finished and funded in September.
5. Avoid adding more layers of invisibility. Rather than getting complex, we prefer simple ideas for paintings and drawings as well as the fantastic. But keep it clear and simple, and descriptive enough so the reader can imagine it.
6. Remember: the only way we accept submissions, are from curators. If you would like to be a curator, send us two or more ideas as polished as possible, using the guidelines above. If we like them, we will accept them, and post them as rewards at some point. Both ideas you send must be useable. You can send more ideas, but we will not post only one idea, there must be at least two good ones.
7. You can ask questions, but we would prefer you just think about it and send us your curated ideas (at least two in one email) within the week. The more organized you are about it, the more it has the chance to work. Our dream is to see the museum thriving with hundreds of artists selling non-visible works. It would add a layer to the art world, but also to the economic world of artists. Can you see that? We will send updates once a week until this project is over on the 31st of August. This is an experiment, but if the curators in MONA work out well, we have more plans for the future off this museum!
We will definitely tour the museum in Europe this fall. Its first stop as a workshop, will be in the Ljubljulana, Slovenian Biennial.
I am looking for a collaborator for a new non-visible work for the museum! Please e-mail me or leave a comment below.
