Your Date With Dreams

I got the call today and Speedminton is officially confirmed as Job 18! I'm gonna whack it with my racket at the Palais de Congres next week!

I also may have another gig with a photographer named Rob:

Hi Aimee,

I was looking into the possibility of working with you for the day as a model to help build my portfolio. I share a studio with Barrie Macleod in the RCA building so I figure we could work there. I'm basically new to fashion/glamour photography and feel I'm in a bit of a catch 22, need a good portfolio to attract models - need models to make a good portfolio. I'm not sure if this is something you may be interested in but I guess we can talk about it and maybe share some ideas.

Thanks
Rob

Sounds great. If he hires an MUA (make-up artist), I am totally in! I find all new portfolio shoots have better results when a professional team is assembled. Plus, most MUAs do my make-up in ways that I am unable to, and I get to feel more like a pampered princess model for the shoot who is prepped to work-it-out.

*snap snap snap*

I joined the Amazon Affiliate program and I'd like to pimp my first recommendation. It's a film called My Date With Drew.

"My Date With Drew" served as a small part of my inspiration to start One Hundred Jobs. A lifetime fan of Drew Barrymore, Brian Herzlinger, documents his hard-won journey of getting a lunch date with Drew Barrymore. He is a fringe filmmaker who is so financially challenged that he purchases an $1100 camera on his credit card, so that he can return the camera before the 30 day warranty expires and hopefully nab Drew within a short time frame.

What I loved about the film was that it captures the essence of the magical things that can happen when you take bold steps towards making your dreams come true. If you risk failure, you allow yourself the potential for success. Brian also achieved the benefit of making his first successful film by unflinchingly pursuing his passion. When you start something true to yourself, aim high and execute (or , as the new media mogul wine guy Gary Vaynerchuk would say), you might get your own Date with Drew.

Hell, I can't believe I am flying to Chicago, delivering a Cheesecake to Toronto, and publishing my first book because on one frustrated, unemployed Saturday I decided to launch One Hundred Jobs.

Dreaming of your dreams in action,

Aimee.
