Today, I've been prepping for my photo shoot with Rob, Cynthia of QT Make-up, and stylist Michele Jean-Jacques (great name for a stylist, I think).
I'm really inspired by the current issue of the European fashion magazine "Numéro". I adore the style in the "Légende d'automne" editorial. Michele and I really want to recreate its ornate, theatrical, 80s inspired style. Also, I have been looping Lady Gaga's new video for her hit Bad Romance (which I also danced to in my booty shaking video) and the costumes and styling are absolutely breathtaking. We are going to shoot a true fashion editorial, not the commercial, catalogue fluff that I usually get hired for because of my oft-commercial, wholesome and friendly-despite-my-'tude facey-face.
I want to prove my modelling stripes on Wednesday! GRRRRRRRRRRRR! FIERCE!
IN OTHER JOBS:
My polyurethane coat sold on E-bay today. The Eskimo coat was passed over again! Boo! The thigh high boots still have a couple of days left and three watchers, which is a good sign. I'm only $75 short of making my E-bay auctions an official job. I have so much more clothing to upload in my store, too! I wish I could just press a button and automatically set it up, but alas, E-bay is actually WORK.
Speaking of, my momma wants to hire me to create a family tree. Once I get past this busy-as-busy week, I'll start the research for her. Sounds... tedious. LOL.
But, fun still exists in employment! In a $100.00 Google search,, I stumbled upon and contacted an organization called Leisure Rules that I found out does treasure hunts for $100 prizes in Toronto!
About Leisure Rules:
Leisure Rules runs treasure hunt events open to the public for free. Each treasure hunt event can be done during your free time (coffee breaks, lunch time, walking to work/school etc.). If you are the first to solve the treasure hunt then you win the prize.
The site's admin, Sam, wrote me this nice follow-up e-mail:
Hello Aimee,
I went to your website and checked out what you are up to. Is there any chance
you're ever in Toronto (did you already deliver that cheesecake?)? If you did
happen to get to Toronto, I could offer you a couple of unique gigs. You could
be a "Treasure Hunt Designer" (that I expect doesn't come up often) or I could
include you as a "clue" in an event we're running.
I'm still thinking of other options and I'm open to discussion.
I really liked what you're doing and I'm interested in being a part of it if I
can.
Thanks...
Sam
Sounds perrrrrrfect. What a great social networking activity. I love new social networking sites that allow you group and play online to venture out and continue offline, much like Akoha.
What's this? I think there is a clue in my bedroom AND a prize... ah, yes, bed, which leads to... much needed sleep.
ZZZsheepxo,
Aimoo
